Good morning all, I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. If you read this tomorrow then I wish you a great week. I am posting a few words - I feel I should - because...being a restless soul, I am never satisfied with things. When it has to do with something "permanent" like how you wish to be called on your blog, then it's better not to change all the time and just make a decision! I never liked using my name (Maggie is a variation of my real name) and so I have decided to use a term, in Italian, which represents almost perfectly what I am:
1. Mosaicista = a mosaicist, someone who makes mosaics
2. Appassionata = passionate, enthusiast
I just blended the two and I am happy and I hope to remain happy with it!!
It may even sound quite trendy as you know of....fashionista, stylista and all that -ista but bear in mind that mosaicista is a real term not a term that has being coined by bloggers.
What do you think?
Perhaps leave it plain Mosaicista?
Let me know ..your opinion counts!
I think that's beautiful, make your own moniker, be original, xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like it! Glad that you explained it...off to explore some more.
ReplyDeleteHi girls and thanks. Well, I went for "una mosaicista" which means "a mosaicist". I think is obvious about my passion, so let's not overdo it. I feel just like Prince..he had an album called Musicology and he is the artist formerly known as Prince!!!!xxx M
ReplyDeleteI love the passion one. Oh, I love it so much! Makes me wish I came up with that one myself.

ReplyDeleteBrava Mosaicista, I enjoy your blog and now I am curious to know where you learned mosaic, in Friuli?
ReplyDelete(you are not going to believe it but the word for verification is "Prega" which means pray, not only it is an Italian word but also used in churches where most mosaics are...coincidence?)
@ Brillante: No, it was Ravenna.
ReplyDelete@ All friends: I appreciate it so much that you have given me your opinion. I think I made up my mind!
